Anna Maria Island Wedding Photographer | Em & Kyle's Sandbar Wedding

As an Anna Maria Island Wedding Photographer, beach weddings are, of course, one of my favorite things in the world!! Em and Kyle's wedding will always be a particularly memorable one for me, not just because it was my first wedding back from having maternity leave, but because of the beauty and sentiment that it captured. They were supposed to have had their dream wedding in the Bahamas, but the destruction caused by Hurricane Dorian put an end to that. Not to be deterred, they changed their direction and found the perfect spot for their beach wedding at The Sandbar Restaurant on Anna Maria Island and hired AMI Beach Weddings to help plan their perfect day. Against all odds, tragedy attempted to strike at them twice with the onset of COVID-19 and the world wide pandemic, but they didn't let that stop them this time, and the result was a stunningly beautiful day filled with love, friends and family!
Em's day started with getting ready at Salon Salon in Holmes Beach for her hair and make up, Then it was back to Cedar Cove Resort where her wedding gown and jewelry were waiting for her and the magic could truly begin! The beautiful bouquets, artfully created by Blooms By the Beach, completed the look and added the perfect tropical flair to her look.

Meanwhile, back at their Anna Maria Island rental home, Kyle and his groomsmen were getting ready and having a little pre-wedding celebration of their own. A few photographs, a toast to the groom, and it's time to get rolling!

Once they were ready, they headed over to The Sandbar Restaurant for a few quiet moments of reflection and time with the ones they loved, and just a few more details to perfect before getting started.

The rain threatened to interrupt their ceremony and a drizzle even started just as they spoke their vows, but this amazing couple was completely undaunted. The dramatic skies and soft lighting just added to the ambiance and emotion of this beautiful moment. Say I Do on the Suncoast did a beautiful job officiating their ceremony as the couple literally Tied-the-Knot and became husband and wife.
