Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast Wedding Photographer | Chelsea and Matt

If you ask me, Chelsea and Matt couldn't have done any better when they chose to have their wedding at the Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast. Have I ever mentioned that it's my favorite wedding venue ever?? Or maybe I'm just biased... because it was MY wedding venue too! Either way, there's no place else in the Bradenton-Sarasota area that has that wonderful, quiet, old Florida charm right on the waterfront, combined with the unsurpassed love and hospitality that the owners, Wim and Mieke, bring to the table. But back to our story! Chelsea and Matt's relationship has been full of delays. Back in high school Matt had a crush on Chelsea, but they parted ways after graduation and didn't meet again for another 17 years. They reconnected, fell in love, and planned a perfect wedding together. Then, just days before their long awaited wedding, disaster struck as Hurricane Ian hit the Florida coast with devastating force. This amazing couple took everything in stride, canceling their wedding with just 2 days left on their count down. Amazingly, when they picked their new wedding date for a few months later, every single one of their vendors was available to help them pull off their wedding day exactly they way they'd been dreaming! The day finally came around and believe me when I tell you that it couldn't have been any more perfect, just like you'd expect from any wedding planned by Events by Heaven. All the time I've spent with this couple has taught me many beautiful lessons, but the most profound is this: Love is WORTH the wait!

Every detail was perfect as Chelsea got ready for her wedding day in the bridal suite at the Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast. Those last few moments waiting, getting dressed, making sure everything was just perfect, and savoring every moment before walking down the aisle. Her bridesmaids stayed by her side as the big moment slowly grew closer. The groom and groomsmen arrived, and although we got plenty of pictures before the ceremony, the bride and groom wanted to wait to see each other until they were standing on the aisle.

Time for the ceremony finally arrived and Chelsea was walked down the aisle by her father and her son. Even the wind seemed to hold its breath and she came down the steps of the Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast to take that long walk down to meet her groom. Tears were shed by all, even this photographer, as she stepped up to him and they prepared to say their vows and finally start their lives together.
