What drives me?
Celeste
For 5 years we tried to start our family, and finally our sweet Celeste joined us in February 2020 and life will never be the same. Sure, there's a bit less sleep than before, and a few more tears (from all of us if we're being perfectly honest,) but I wouldn't have it any other way. She's absolutely perfect, and suddenly every thing I do is for her, for her future, for her happiness. I could sit and stare at her for hours, just trying to imagine who she will grow up to be. Will she be kind? Funny? Compassionate? Wild and passionate like her mother? Or practical and logical like her father? Who ever she turns out to be, she'll have my love and support every step of the way!

Love it or Hate It?
Water Colors
Love It!
Turquoise, teal, aqua, mint, blue. Call it what you want but I LOVE the colors of water. You may have guessed that this comes from my time in the Caribbean, and you'd be right. The colors of the Caribbean Sea speak to my heart and I feel a peace and calm when I'm around them. So whether it's on my clothes, or the walls of my living room, I've got as much of this color in my life as humanly possible!

What's your favorite thing to photograph?
Weddings! Without a doubt! Years ago I worked at David's Bridal, and when I left, I thought I never wanted to hear about another wedding again. That lasted until the next time I met someone engaged... "Oh my goodness, you have to tell me EVERYTHING!!!" Turns out I'm just a sappy romantic who can't get enough of everything wedding. I love getting to be a part of the most important moment of someones life, making sure every moment is captured for them to treasure forever. Weddings offer a huge range of photographic styles through out the course of the day and I love the challenge that brings. But that aside, don't worry if you hear a sniffle during the ceremony, it's just your photographer tearing up behind the lense.
Fun Facts
I worked for 5 years at David's Bridal, largely in the alterations department. This means that I am a wiz with everything wedding wear! Need help with your veil? Getting your bustle up? Lacing the back of your gown?? Just ask for help, I'm your gal!
Way back in 2006, I won 1st place in Womens Skimboarding at the East Coast Surfing Championships! I'm far too old to do it any more, but my heart aches for it every time I see someone out skimming at the beach.
I've met, spoken with, litterally bumped into, or had dinner with 2 Prime Ministers, 1 President, and 1 Ambassador! One of them even congratulated me on the occasion of my wedding!
5 Years of blood, sweat, and tears, and all I have to show for it is a Bachelors Degree. I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts from ECU back in 2004 and I've been letting my creative juices flow ever since! What was my biggest take-away from my artistic education? Composition, composition, composition!
The biggest physical achievement I've ever had was hiking the Grand Canyon rim to river to rim. There are signs all over advising you against it, but I was detirmined! Over 20 miles, the second half entirely up hilll, and the last 3 miles in the dark. What an adventure!
I spent the better part of a decade seriously involved in Swing Dancing! I still dance with my husband, and you'll always spot me of the dance floor at a wedding, but that's about it these days. I sure do miss it though!
