Shannon and Scott
November 4th 2017

It was a beautiful day for a wedding.  The weather was on their side, graciously providing one of those perfect Florida Fall days, you know the ones, just cool enough to keep you from sweating, but warm enough not to be cold.  Clouds danced across the sky, and the wind blew softly through the live oaks, bringing just a touch of it's magic to the day.  Shannon and Scott chose to start their Forever at the beautiful Schilling Ranch, situated in the Florida country side just east of Sarasota, owned by friends who opened their home to celebrate the day.  Friends and family from near and far joined them to make the day complete.

Shannon and Scott have been best friends since elementary school, perhaps the truest foundation for a lasting love.  When life tried them, through time and distance, they stayed close, and their love grew.  When Scott proposed earlier this fall, they knew they didn't want to wait a moment longer than they had to before tying the knot.  Unbelievably, they planed their beautiful rustic wedding in under 60 days!

Their attention to detail was striking, and done nearly entirely by the bridal party themselves.  From the boutonnieres, set inside of shotgun shells, to the Bridal bouquet made by the brides mother, the rustic ring box to the home made cupcakes, every detail was perfection.

The groom and groomsmen arrived right on time.  Dressed in jeans, suspenders, and boots, they were dressed to the nines for this rustic Florida wedding.  Their shotgun shell boutonnieres pinned to their suspenders made for the final touch.  Scott was full of smiles as the realization hit him that he was really getting married today!

After pulling up to the isle in the largest pick-up truck this side of I75, Shannon walked down the isle accompanied by her father and grandfather.  Framed by live oaks, hay bails, and a beautiful vine archway, the scene was set, and the wedding ceremony began as their friends and family looked on.  The ceremony itself was filled with personal touches and lots of laughter.  The bride cried, the bride laughed, and so did the rest of us.  And then, as the light shone down on them in speckles through the leaves of the live oaks, they said "I do."

The pastures, fences, and dirt roads at Schilling Ranch are so typical of rural Florida, and they were the perfect setting for some portraits of this rustic Bridal Party.  The sun was setting through the trees and we took advantage of the beautiful light to capture some great moments!

Shannon and Scott, it was a privilege for Sandhill Photography to be there with you to celebrate your day and capture every moment.  May life bless you with even more of the happiness, humor, love and laughter that already fills your life.  Congratulations!!
