Congratulations to Bre and Kyle, who joined me for their Beer Can Island Engagement Photography session last week! Truth be told, we started out in Down Town Bradenton, but that story is for another blog, so keep your eyes out! I've known Bre for a few years now, since we worked together in the 4th grade at Bayshore Elementary School. When I heard this spring that Kyle had proposed, I was jumping out of my skin with excitement! Right from the beginning, we were talking about Beer Can Island for their Engagement pictures. For this outdoorsy, laid back, beach loving couple, the wild and rugged beach at Beer Can Island was just perfect. I've been photographing this couple for a while now, with head shots for Bre, and a New-Home session when they bought their first home. It was such an honor to get to take their Engagement pictures, and now I just can't wait to capture their wedding at the IMG Academy Golf Club next spring. They looked just stunning for this romantic beach session on Longboat Key, and the skies and seas were wonderfully obliging to help us catch these breathtaking moments. They came prepared with outfit changes, and they literally dove right into the session as we took pictures in the water (including this photographer who waded on in up to her waist to get the perfect shot!) Just as the sun was setting, it started to drizzle, but what's a little rain when you've got an assistant with a sturdy umbrella! We set up some back lighting and let the rain work to our advantage against the beautiful back drop of purple and orange clouds.
