I had so much fun conspiring with John for this Longboat Key Surprise Proposal session! John called me up just a few days prior. He was here on vacation and wanted to see if we were available to come out and capture one of the biggest moments of his life as he proposed to his future wife. Luckily I had some space available and I headed out to the Longboat Key Resort on Monday evening to capture everything! John wanted to make sure that this was a moment that Renee would never forget, and he planned out everything perfectly! The folks at the Longboat Key Resort helped to bring his Surprise Proposal together, setting out chairs and tiki torches, and even sent someone out to rake a perfect path through the sand. John had brought details and props from home, wrote out his proposal in the sand, and Sandhill Photography helped finish the scene with a bottle of champagne and two champagne flutes. Now all we needed was Renee! She closed her eyes as John guided her down the board walk, and wiped away tears of joy and anticipation as they made their way through the sand. A true southern gentleman, John took out the engagement ring and went down on one knee to ask the most important question of their lives, and Renee rewarded his hard work with a joyful "Yes!" Renee's daughter and her best friend were there to help them celebrate, catching the entire thing on video. The happy couple sipped champagne and strolled along the beach, enjoying a perfect Florida Sunset, and dreaming of their lives together.
