Rainy Day Wedding Photography Sarasota | Linda & Frank
I just love Rainy Day Wedding Photography in Sarasota! Most Couples would think that the appearance of dark clouds on your wedding day is a disaster, or least simply unlucky, but if you've got a sunny disposition and a photographer with a little creativity, those clouds won't bring you down! Frank and Linda weren't going to let a little rain keep their day from being anything but perfect.
It should be noted that this Bride (from England) and Groom (an American), shared their wedding date with another, similar, international couple you might have heard of (or even watched!) but even the Royal Wedding couldn't steal their thunder.
After getting ready at home, the Bridal Party departed in their limousine to arrive at St. Boniface Episcopal Church on Siesta Key, where Frank and Linda would say their I DO's in an elegant and formal ceremony, surrounded by family and friends.
The cloud's came out and danced about, but that didn't stop up from heading over to Phillipi Estate Park for some beautiful Wedding Portraits. The bulk of the rain held off, but it drizzled just enough to get to have some fun with an umbrella.
After that, it was off to the Club House at TPC Prestancia to celebrate at the reception. The evening was just perfect, from the tender first dance, to the gorgeous cake from Cakes by Ron (one of our favorite cake vendors!)
By the time we arrived at the reception, the rain had gotten too bad to ask the Linda to go outside in her stunning dress and delicate satin shoes, but never fear, this is Florida, and if you don't like the weather, just wait while! Sure enough, the sun came back out just at sunset, and gave the Bride and Groom a special wedding gift: a rainbow! We hurried out to take advantage of the moment, and then, just as we were turning around to go back inside, the ENTIRE SKY lit up like it was on fire. The reflection on the wet side walk mirrored it perfectly, and the result was pure magic!
