Hannah and Ken came all the way out from Lakeland this week to join this Longboat Key Engagement Photographer for an amazing photo session! When I met Hannah at a Bridal Expo this spring, I could immediately spot her kind and genuine nature which made me want to get to know her better. So I was thrilled when her name came up in our Free Engagement Session give-a-way! She and her Fiance came out to join me at Longboat Key's Beer Can Island for some stellar engagement photography. It was a wild day at the beach, with big waves, lots of wind and an unusually high tide. To take a line from Mrs. Whatsit, "Wild nights are my glory!" and I just love the opportunity for a romantic, moody, dramatic photography session like this! This sweet couple was a little nervous about posing for pictures, as so many people are. I mean, let's be honest, how many of us lead a secret life as models, ready to flash that perfect smile on command? Not me, that's for sure! But all I really need from a couple in order to get truly beautiful and intimate pictures is for them to be genuine with one another, to take a moment to be vulnerable and honest, looking into the eyes of the one you love, and letting those emotions show as you take a moment to forget the camera, and just be in love. I don't think anyone could deny that this gorgeous couple were superstars when it came to that! I loved watching them interact with one another, and it was so obvious that they are a perfect match. As a Longboat Key Engagement Photographer, I have to say that this was one of my favorite sessions I've had at this location.
